Existing Space, New Experience
The redesign of Innovations’ Chicago showroom was the second of five in a comprehensive nationwide renovation plan. Based on market research and a study of their sales data, Innovations had focused on residential sales and was investing in the grand residential showroom experience. For Chicago, I adapted their existing space to match their new aesthetic, incorporating elements from the showroom I designed in Los Angeles: a welcoming reception lounge leading to multiple galleries for viewing product.
The new space feels intimate, yet was designed for events. As Innovations introduced their new aesthetic, they committed to hosting regular events, starting with a panel at Design Chicago. The experience is consistent from showroom to showroom from the menu and presentation to fixtures in the space.
