Going Bananas

When NappaTile decided to invest in a flagship showroom at the Merchandise Mart, they knew they would need a unique and memorable campaign to drive traffic to their space. Leading up to the grand opening at NeoCon, NappaTile’s advertising, email marketing and social media centered around the unexpected graphic of a bunch of bananas with the slogan, “People are going bananas over … NappaTile.” Keeping with this theme, I designed the showroom to incorporate Italian monkey sculptures, a banana light centerpiece and bananas with branded stickers to be given away at the show. By connecting the physical space with the advertising message in a whimsical way that aligned with their product and brand, NappaTile’s showroom became a destination at the industry’s busiest show.
